Transformational Lesson Design
Nurturing Learners: Examples and Resources
A nurturing learning experience is engaging and active for the learners; the learners are not passive recipients of knowledge nor is the teacher the keeper of the knowledge. When teachers design nurturing experiences for learners, the learners find themselves creative, interactive, and persistent as they engage academically, socially, and emotionally. Teachers design structures that create space where learners are cared for, engaged and challenged.
