At Oakland Christian School, secondary science and math teacher Bryan Crump's Deep Hope is that we will become people who think as disciples, love as neighbors, and live as stewards. As a step in the Storyline of “becoming” these people, the students in his 11th and 12th grade Bioethics class wrote out the COVID-related experience of someone they knew. They showed love by listening and by speaking up for others, as Proverbs 31:8-9 instructs. This account uses initials, both for subject anonymity and as representation of those experiencing similar stories.
