The Biblical Story | July 7, 9, 14, 16 (11AM CST)
Description: In our work with TfT, we seek to equip learners to See The Story and Live The Story. Join this masterclass to take a deep dive into The Story that invites, nurtures, and empowers.
Facilitator: In 2 Peter 1:5 we read that we are to “make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge.” For David Mosterd, that has taken him down a path of understanding the history, geography, language, and culture of the Bible. His studies have taken him throughout Israel and the Middle East focusing on Second Temple Judaism and the Early Church in order to follow Jesus more closely. He is married to Nicky and they have five boys; Judah, Abbott, Alonzo, Peter, and Khalil. In his work and with his family he desires to live into the way God created him to be as a source of hope in hardship, light in the darkness, and shalom in the chaos of this world. He is a Bible teacher at Grand Rapids Christian High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and leads study tours to Israel. He is passionate about being a good dad and husband to his family, a friend to those who he journeys life with, and helping people see the light and hope of Jesus Christ.

Charli's Deep Hope is to walk alongside teachers in their sacred work, encouraging them as they model Christ and boldly love students, growing them in creative ways to engage curious minds, and pursuing excellence as we find renewed joy and purpose in the work God has called us to each day. Before coaching, she taught high school English courses from 9th to 12th, including AP Language and Composition, and served as the English Department Chair. Teaching for Transformation has provided clarity of language and ultimate purpose in the work we are being called to in Christian education. Outside of the walls of Harding Academy, you will find her trying new restaurants with her husband, spending time with and shuffling her four children around town, sharing life with friends, or snuggling up with a cup of coffee and a good book.
